Last Wednesday, we have held our AGM with several major changes.
We have elected our new board. Rona Behrentin and Haris Trgo are continuing as co-Chairs. Udo Lauterborn, Rita Neitzert and Catarina Haider have dropped out the Board – we want to thank them for their many years of active support for our club, and we hope they will stay involved in the future. Our new Treasurer is Michael Kohl. Kate Cowe has been re-elected as Board Member (Beisitzerin), and new Board Members are Orla Minish, Nathan Rennick and Laura Klöppinger.
Udo and Lilly Lauterborn have been very involved in our club for many years, with Udo having been Chair of our club for 14 years. To celebrate their work for the club, the AGM has appointed them as honorary members. Thank you, Lilly and Udo, for your longstanding dedication to the German-Irish cause.
Last but not least, we have adopted a new Club Constitution (Satzung). Apart from some minor changes in the composition of the Board, we have also decided to give ourselves a language policy. As you might expect, our club languages are German, Irish and English, while our main working language is English. Thereby we want to simplify our inner workings and focus on the language all of our members understand.
We are looking forward to many events and gatherings to come. Our first DIG team meeting is scheduled for the 13 Nov 2025 at 7pm with the location tbd.
